When an i-wireless customer purchases airtime in a store, over the internet or by calling Customer Care, sales tax is properly charged at the prevailing rate in your jurisdiction on the dollar amount of airtime purchased. In addition, when a customer moves to a monthly rate plan, the associated telecommunications charges are applied. These telecommunications charges are different for each customer because they are based upon the area where you live. These telecommunication charges are collected and remitted to the appropriate government agencies. These telecommunication charges can include, but are not limited to, E911 surcharge, Universal Service Fund surcharge, Local Utility Tax and State Gross Receipts Tax. ALL-IN rate plans include most taxes, fees and/or surcharges. However, sales and E911 taxes may apply at time of sale.
